This meeting marked an important milestone as the projectโ€™s first in Sub-Saharan Africa, further reinforcing the consortiumโ€™s commitment to supporting entrepreneurial and vocational skills for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a global context.

Over three days of intensive discussions and collaborative work, partners:

  • Reviewed the projectโ€™s progress as it enters its final year of implementation;
  • Defined the next steps, including preparations for the final conference where results and outputs will be presented;
  • Presented the GSMESKILL training curriculum to representatives from SMEs, universities, and vocational education and training (VET) centers, collecting valuable feedback for further refinement.

A notable part of the visit included an exchange with young entrepreneurs at the Masifunde Learner Development Start-up Incubator. The incubator provides a practical example of how vocational training can foster entrepreneurial initiatives and business innovation.

Looking ahead, GSMESKILL will organize National Awareness Days in South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria to engage local stakeholders and further disseminate project outcomes.
